Andere Bands spielen Stromgitarren – AC/DX. sind wahre Energie!
Wer kennt sie nicht? Bon Scott, Angus Young, Brian Johnson – die Götter des Rock’n’Roll aus Down Under. Songs
– Wo sonst werden schon echte Kanonen zu `For those about to rock` abgefeuert?
– Wer sonst bläst schon einen Dudelsack zu `It´s a long way to the top`, wirft auch noch bandeigene Geld-
For Those About To Rock – AC/DX. Salute You!
GOD’S GIFT – Damned to rock’n’roll
Other musicians take it easy at some point after decades in the biz, but GOD’S GIFT are now tugging at the chain all the more. Because these five men have riffs pumping through their veins like adrenaline, they are irrevocably condemned to rock’n’roll. The musical paths of guitarist Daniel Taeger, drummer Mike Hartinger and guitarist Mark T. Wright from Regensburg Sin City crossed again and again a long time ago. At gigs together, they finally met ex-Rhino Bucket bassist Reeve Downes, with whom they not only shared a passion for straightforward, handmade hard rock, but soon also the vision of a new formation in the rock sky. After an exhausting search for a suitable man on the microphone, they finally came across the dazzling vocal wonder Fares Gabriel Hadid on the streets of Barcelona in 2022, whose entry completed GOD’S GIFT and made it the band it is today. An unshakeable unit that fuses “the best of both worlds”: Here, tools of the trade perfected over decades meet unbridled creativity, razor-sharp hard rock riffs meet soulful blues, a unique vocal performance meets swinging groove and life experience meets the insatiable hunger of young street dogs.
GOD’S GIFT is living proof that music transcends borders – not only cultural, but also geographical. Five extraordinary musicians, spread across three different countries, have achieved the seemingly impossible: merging their different characters, talents and experiences into a unique entity.
Even before the first release, the guys from THE BOSS HOSS became aware of GOD’S GIFT and quickly signed the band as a support act for some shows on their Electric Horsemen Tour.
The debut single AIN’T GOING BACK was released in December 2023 and received more than 10,000 streams on Spotify in the first two weeks. The feedback was outstanding and AIN’T GOING BACK was not only played on the radio in Germany, but also in the UK, Spain, Italy, the USA, Australia, Brazil and Chile. The singles CALL ME BAD and DOGS ON THE RUN were released at the beginning of 2024 and were in no way inferior to AIN’T GOING BACK in terms of resonance.
A single that is in the tradition of bands like AC/DC, Aerosmith or the Black Crowes and yet knows how to transport classic hard rock into the here and now, or as Metal Asylum Magazine writes: “Its great to hear some Rock ‘n’ Roll, we get so many genre’s sent to us that sometimes it’s just good to listen to ballsy rock, something to bounce too. Windows down music to either get the neighbors involved or annoyed! ”
